ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Chris Radge, is my pen name but I was born Christine Titheradge in the Brisbane Mater Children’s Hospital in 1965 in Australia.  I have two beautiful children Cindy and Ian who I love to bits.  My partner Gerry (32 years less 3 years) who I was once married to for 10 years, divorced for 3 and partners again for the past 19 years and still going strong.

I, I, I, yep there’s lots of I’s in the next paragraph. I have one teacup Pomeranian dog who I found out I am allergic to. I love fish, Seahorses are my fav and we have an abundance of Australian wildlife bouncing, jumping & flying around our home. I love life & randomness, I am a positive person, I am a teacher of many subjects, I think outside the box, my friends and family are very important to me, I try to help people find solutions to their problems. And best of all I am a NanMa.

I have been an editor, publisher and marketer for a well renowned designer of craft patterns distributing worldwide, an editor of local sporting magazines and associations and a family poet… I am a Justice of the Peace, Honorary Parks Ranger, coach and represent at state level in Tenpin Bowling. I also like to help with the Rainforest Writing Retreat held yearly in Canungra Australia.

My latest challenge is novel writing, not just “A” book, an Octology.  It is loads of fun, but allot of hard work sorting out all the story lines.  Just when I get stuck into writing one of the books a random idea will pop into my head for one of the other books in the series or even a book that I shall write after the Elder Scale Series… 

I have been literally dreaming these books for many years but in 2008 was the first time the idea of writing an actual book was thrust upon me, I was having an MRI to find out about numerous debilitating migraines.   Little did I know I was claustrophobic, no way on this earth were they stuffing me in that little hole, head first!

They convinced me to wear an eye mask and said, ‘don’t worry Christine, it will only take a couple of minutes…’ well it seemed like hours and I could feel the tightening panic start to seep into my bones.  So off I went into fantasy land, and that my friends, is how it all started…

So what are my novels about… a girl, her unknown quest that takes you to eight different parts of the world and about the comrades she meets along the way and their own adventures, and why has this tiny regal creature literally landed in her lap… Follow MK as she finds out why and why the MIB is following her and lastly to find out what that crusty thing on her wrist is, FINALLY…

I am also dabbling in Picture books, and have a few stories in Anthologies. I have written a three hundred page recipe book and have the plans to write a series of tenpin bowling young fiction books. Life is terribly busy, oh and im trying to write an Autobiography.
